4.3 Infection and Response¶
This topic area studies disease, defence and treatment. The central pattern is that pathogens enter, organisms respond, and medical strategies aim to reduce harm or prevent spread.
Core Role¶
- Explain how pathogens cause disease and how they spread.
- Show how defence systems, vaccination and medicines reduce disease impact.
- Connect human and plant disease through the shared ideas of detection, response and control.
Learning Objective Map¶
Each topic page in this module now opens with a specification-aligned Learning Objectives section. Use these links to jump straight to the objective map for each topic, then into the teaching sections linked from that map.
